The resilient sponge from Design for resilience is a washable, 100% natural dish glove, produced in a short circuit in Belgium with respect of the environment and for workers.

The sponge is completely biodegradable, compostable and naturally anti-bacterial.

Made out of hemp.

This glove is knitted in the latest knitting factory in Wallonie and developed in close collaboration with it's users. Together we developed an effective, hygenic and fast drying sponge, to help everyone reduce their waste and to limit the spread of micro-plastics in natural environments.

We knit our sponge into mechanically processed vegetable fibre, which guarantees that no solvent, acid or caustic soda was used when spinning our threads. The sponge was designed to respect the environment and the world of life. It is therefore washable and resistant. In addition, we selected the closest and strongest fibers as well as a 100% natural sewing thread and label to design a fully biodegradable and compostable dish sponge. It’s fiber is solid and certified Oekotex Standard 100, which makes it a durable and respectful product.

Unlike conventional sponges and synthetic polyester or polyamide latches, it is guaranteed without plastic or glue and does not release any synthetic microfiber into the environment.
